New degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) at ETSEIB Print

2010-2011 was the first year of teaching the new degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) at ETSEIB.
The aim of the EHEA is to unify the structure of education in Europe creating one academical unit, the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) in order to facilitate mutual recognition and to promote the mobility of students and professors.

Across Europe, the university programmes are divided into three levels: Bachelor, Master and Doctorate.

At ETSEIB:
  • Bachelor's degrees have an academic workload of four years (240 ECTS)
  • Mostly of Master's degree of 2 years (120 ECTS)
  • Doctoral programmes usually of 3 or 4 years

The proposed programmes of complete integrated training at ETSEIB are in three areas:

Industrial Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology + Master's degree in Engineering

Chemical Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering + Master's degree in Chemical Engineering

Materials Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering + Master's degree in Materials Engineering
